Nova Paka
There is a lot of tourist attractions in this small town. In the local Jewellery of semi precious stones you can not
see just the jewels of nature (precious stones, petrified trees) but the jewels of human soul - not known branch so
far - mediumistic drawings that came into existence during spiritistic seance. It is the first exhibition of such
mediumistic drawings in the Czech Republic.
The Assumption Monasterial church is the most precious architectural
monument in the town. It was erected in the 18th century by spiritual order of St. Francis of Paula and its interior
counts among the most advanced structures of the late baroque style. Particurarly striking is the rich decoration of
the church nave, by prominent artists of the time.
